Thesis writing is not only an important part of academics, it is also an art. If a student knows how to write a good thesis, he can secure good marks twice as easily. A good thesis undoubtedly leaves a lasting impression on the teacher's mind, constructing the goodwill of the student in the eyes of his teacher. However, a badly written thesis spoils the student's repute. Here are some tips on how to write a thesis:
Make sure that you understand the depth of the topic assigned to you. Only then will you be able to write your views on that specific topic. Also make sure that you are clear about the content to be added to the thesis, and the kind of thesis required by your teacher.
Always make sure to in the least read the content and helping material your teacher might have mentioned during his/her lecture. These sources often provide great help related to the thesis.
Make sure that the sources you cite or any help you get from books or any websites is mentioned clearly and properly in your thesis, as failing to do so can bring about a charge of plagiarism against you.
Make sure that you always stick to the main topic, try not to wander off to other things during writing.
Mention properly and clearly all the sources you have used and any quoatations should be properly cited. If this is not done, it can bring a charge of plagiarism against you, which is a strict disciplinary matter.
Mention sources you have used and the books and websites you have consulted in order to complete the research work of your thesis. It tells if you have actually done research and gone through related books, articles and books.
Last but not least, try to make a nice title page for your thesis and give special attention to you presentation.
